FUNDING SCHEME
Beneficiaries:
1. Film and TV production companies;
2. Documentary production companies.
Supported stage: Production.
Type of funding: Not-recoupable grants.
Funding mechanism: Selective with cultural test.
Main selection criteria:
Artistic quality of the project; artistic quality of crew and cast; regional expenditures; promotion of regional geographic, historic and cultural heritage; co-production agreements; distribution agreements.
Submission deadlines:
Three deadlines per year; projects have to be submitted before production begins.
Payment scheme:
• 30% down payment upon approval of the request for contribution; the payment of the
contribution is dependent on the submission of a bank guarantee for the same amount;
• 50% upon documentation of local expenses;
• 20% upon submission of the final expenses report.
FILM AND TELEVISION PRODUCTIONS
Beneficiaries:
National and international independent film and television production companies, for the production, in the province of Trento, of works destined for release in cinemas, on television, on
multimedia platforms or home video, both nationally and internationally.
Type of projects: Feature films; short films; TV series; TV films.
Maximum grant per project: € 400.000.
Main obligations:
• part of the filming must be completed in Trentino;
• local expenditures should be at least 150% of the amount of the grant;
• during the shooting in Trentino, at least 20% of crew must be local professionals.
DOCUMENTARY PRODUCTIONS
Beneficiaries:
National and international independent audiovisual production companies operating in the documentary and new media sector, for the production, in the province of Trento, of audiovisual and/or multimedia works.
Type of projects: Documentaries; multimedia.
Maximum grant per project: € 40.000.
Main obligations:
• part of the filming must be completed in Trentino;
• local expenditures should be at least 120% of the amount of the grant;
• during the shooting in Trentino, at least two crew members should be local professional; alternatively, a co-production contract with a local production companies must be signed.
