Careser Dam

Lake Careser, at 2603 meters above sea level, is a basin built at the beginning of the 1930s to use the waters coming from the Careser glacier for hydroelectric purposes. It supplies the underlying power plants of the Dolomiti Energia Group for the production of clean energy. The lake surrounded by a majestic alpine landscape is generated by a massive gravity dam in concrete 57 m high.
